In a blend of digital art, minimalistic design, and cutting-edge 3D technology, Barcelona-based Six N Five Studio unveils its latest creation: 'Holo-Scandinavian', a futuristic furniture design.
Departing from their usual focus on art direction and hyper-realistic renderings, the studio has taken a bold step by not only conceptualizing but also designing the furniture itself.
Ezequiel Pini, the owner and director of Six N Five Studio, shared the motivation behind this innovative project, stating, "This time, we wanted to bring this exploration a step further." The result is a collection of furniture pieces that exist in a realm where holographic colors dance across chairs, tables, and couches, creating a surreal set design that is both captivating and avant-garde.
The prototypes for 'Holo-Scandinavian,' crafted by Brazilian designer Artur de Menezes during his internship at the studio, showcase a metallic color palette dominated by lilacs, lavenders, and pinks. The studio describes the series as a "strange but at the same time beautiful celebration of mid-century Scandinavian design," where exaggerated and unexpected shapes come together in a harmonious visual feast.
This venture not only pushes the boundaries of traditional design but also blurs the lines between digital art and tangible products. By merging elements of mid-century Scandinavian design with holographic aesthetics, Six N Five Studio has created a series that not only captivates the eye but also challenges our perceptions of what furniture and graphic design can be.
The 'Holo-Scandinavian' series stands as a testament to the studio's commitment to pushing the envelope of creativity. It serves as a glimpse into the future of design, where the virtual and physical worlds seamlessly converge, offering a fresh perspective on the aesthetics of the present moment. As we witness this intersection of technology and creativity, it sparks a dialogue about the evolving landscape of graphic design and the limitless possibilities that lie ahead.
